Alice I. Christianson (April 26, 1921 ~ August 20, 2012) Alice Irene Knutson Christianson was born April 26, 1921, in Swede Prairie Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, to parents Carl and Nellie (Olson) Knutson. Alice and Clarence N. Christianson, of Normania Township, were married in 1939. They were the parents of two sons: Curtis and Earl. Alice was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, baking, flowers and making afghans for her family. Alice passed away on Monday, August 20, 2012, at the Granite Manor at the age of 91 years, 3 months and 25 days. She is survived by her son Earl (Rita) Christianson of Granite Falls and daughter-in-law Sally Christianson of Clarkfield. She is also survived by grandchildren: Holly (Scott) Jenniges of Redwood Falls, Scott (Lori) Erickson of Navarre, Florida, Chad (Laurel) Christianson of Granite Falls, Allen (Julie) Christianson of McKinney, Texas, Karla (Geoff) Thiel of Redwood Falls and Randy Christianson of Britt, Iowa. She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and sister Gladys Oakland of Blue Earth, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Clarence, son Curtis, brothers Wallace and Marvin, sister Leona Anderson and great granddaughter Josephine Erickson.
