Obituary

Alfreda Eva Nelson, daughter of Victor and Johanna (Mattson) Nelson was born May 18, 1906, in Negaunee, Michigan. Her parents were originally from Finland. She was confirmed at the Evangelical Lutheran Church, Crosby, Minnesota, on August 28, 1921. She was married August 22, 1931, to Arthur J. Hahn at Iron Hub, Crow Wing County, Minnesota. She and her husband lived in various localities in Minnesota and North Dakota. For the past 21 years, she lived in Boyd. She worked with her husband at the State Bank, was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran congregation and the Ladies Aid Society. She passed away November 12, 1969, of a heart ailment at the age of 63 years. Surviving are her husband, Arthur; a son, John, Sioux Falls, South Dakota; a daughter, Mrs. Donald Rinke, Brainerd, Minnesota; two sisters: Mrs. Ellen Schmelzer and Mrs. Robert Warnken, both of Minneapolis; and one grandchild, Jodie Lynn Rinke of Brainerd.
