Alfred Cornelius Bestland was born November 29, 1885, in Minnesota, the son of Ole and Petra (Dahl) Bestland. Fred married Paulina Pearson on December 8, 1926, in Hanley Falls, Minnesota. To this union a son, Jerry, was born. Fred and Lena spent their working years on a farm. When they retired from farming they moved to Hanley Falls, in 1947. Fred passed away March 11, 1963, at the Granite Falls Hospital, Granite Falls, Minnesota, at the age of 77 years. He is survived by his wife, Lena, and one son, Gerold. IN MEMORY OF ALFRED C.
