Alfred Anderson was born on May 23, 1889, at Clarkfield, Minnesota, the son of Bernt and Olina (Eidahl) Anderson. He was baptized and confirmed in Clarkfield Lutheran Church by Rev. O.C. Farseth. He went to Montana when he was 23 years old and made his home there until 1961 when he returned to Minnesota and then made his home in Boyd. He suffered a stroke in 1971 and the past year he made his home with his sister, Hilda Ohman. He passed away at the Clarkfield Hospital on November 19, 1972, at the age of 83 years. His parents, three sisters and two brothers preceded him in death. He leaves to mourn his passing, two sisters: Mrs. Hilda Ohman of Clarkfield, and Mrs. Olga Martinson of Boyd; six brothers: Johnny and Martin of Clarkfield, Henry and Tillman of Boyd, Gifford of Montevideo, Minnesota, and Elmer of California; besides two sister-in-law: Clara Anderson and Esther Anderson of Montevideo; and nieces and nephews.
