Albert B. Myhre was born February 2, 1874, in Normania Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, the son of Martinus and Inger Marie (Tinderholt) Myhre. He was baptized by Rev. Johannes Berg and confirmed in St. Lucas Lutheran Church by Rev. Knute Thorstenson. He atended school in District 23, at Marshall and at Minneapols School of Business. On July 25, 1906, he was united in marriage to Betty Oraas by Rev. J.J. Salhus in Spring Creek Lutheran Church. To this union five children were born, namely, Leona (Mrs. Fritz Richter) of Clarkfield, Minnesota, Bernhard and Bergliot who died in infancy, Harold who passed away in 1948 at the age of 38 years and Evangeline (Mrs. Elroy Churness) of Long Beach, California. His life occupation was farming. He lived two years in Dawson, Minnesota, and spent several years in California. In March 1954, Mr. and Mrs. Myhre purchased a home in Clarkfield. Mrs. Myhre passed away the same year, in May. His health began to fail in the fall of 1958 and on February 4, 1959, he entered the Clarkfield Community Hospital. He passed away April 28, 1959, at the age of 85 years, two months and four days. Besides his two daughters, he leaves to mourn his passing four grandchildren, namely, Betty and Franz Richter, Marian (Mrs. William Salvage) of Downey, California, and David Churness of Pullman, Washington; one sister, Mrs. P.C. Dahl of Chaffee, North Dakota, and a brother, Fritjof Myhre of Walcott, North Dakota, and many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. IN MEMORY OF ALBERT B.
