Albert Martin Dotseth, the son of Nels and Christine (Stenson) Dotseth was born March 22, 1879, in Normania Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. He was baptized on May 11, 1879, at the Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church by Rev. Knute Thorstenson and confirmed his faith at the Spring Creek Lutheran Church in 1894 before the same pastor. On May 26, 1900, he was united in marriage to Emma Karine Oraas of Clarkfield at the Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church with Rev. Thorstenson offficiating. A few years after their union, they were blessed by the addition of a son, Alvin and a daughter, Florence, in their home. Albert was engaged in farming until the time of his semi-retirement when he took up residence in the village of Hazel Run. Following the death of his wife in 1951, he lived with his daughter, Florence, in Granite Falls. About two months ago, he entered the Granite Falls Community Hospital, where on July 30, 1968, he passed from this life at the age of 89 years. Mr. Dotseth was preceded in death by his wife, Emma, and his son, Alvin. He is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Florence Gatchell of Granite Falls; a sister, Mrs. John Vien of Redwood Falls; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. IN MEMORY OF ALBERT M.
