Agnes Opedahl was born December 26, 1910, in Madison, Minnesota, to parents Theodore and Anna (Bjornlie) Opedahl. She taught rural school in the Louisburg, Minnesota area before her marriage. She was united in marriage June 23, 1932, to Stanley W. Holtan. To this union were born two daughters: Marilyn (Mrs. Roland Johnson) of Willmar, Minnesota, and Marlene (Mrs. Byron Grove) of Stewartville, Minnesota. Agnes, resident of Granite Falls, Minnesota, died Friday, April 18, 1981, at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar, Minnesota, at age 69, after an extended illness. Agnes Holtan is survived by her husband, Stanley; her two daughters, Marilyn and Marlene; four grandchildren; and two brothers, Carl Opedahl of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and George Opedahl of Niland, California.
