Agnes Holum was born in Lisbon Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, on May 28, 1896, to parents Isaac and Anna Maria (Sorum) Sorenson, and lived in the area all her life. Upon the death of her husband, Henry, on June 13, 1951, she moved to Boyd, Minnesota, where she has since resided. Mrs. Holum passed away suddenly while visiting at the home of her son, Alton, in St. Paul, Minnesota, on Monday, September 25, 1972. She is survived by her six children: Hazel (Mrs. William Puffer), Alton and Marvin of St. Paul, Minnesota, Verna (Mrs. Floyd Pharr) of Cottonwood, Minnesota, Lawrence of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Lorna (Mrs. Frank Lamberger) of Eagen, Minnesota; and a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
