Agnes S. Erie was born October 4, 1898, to parents Christian and Martha S. (Olsen) Holm of Clarkfield, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church at her place of birth. Agnes was united in marriage to Martin Erie on March 24, 1920. To this union seven children were born. She has been an active member of the Church, including Ladies Aid, Ladies Choir and other church groups. For many years she was also a member of the Hospital and American Legion Auxiliary's Senior Citizens and various community organizations. Agnes was preceded in death by her husband Martin, sons Derrald and Allan and daughter Jeanine. She is survived by her sons: Irwin of California, Charles of Boyd, Minnesota; daughters: Lois of Maryland and Gail of Colorado; 22 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. Agnes passed away Tuesday evening, April 13, 1982, at the Clarkfield Community Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. We will all miss her.
