Adolph A. Riediger, the son of Gustav and Emma (Heintze) Riediger, was born on August 15, 1890, in Omro Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. He was baptized on August 24. 1890, by Pastor Frey of the St. John's Lutheran Church. In 1904, he was confirmed at St. John's by Pastor Hillger of Zion Lutheran, Tyro Township, acting in place of the convalescing Pastor Fritz. On November 24, 1940, he was united in marriage to Ida Steinke of Boyd by Pastor A.W. Fuerstenau of St. John's. He resided in the same area until a few months preceding his death when he took residency at the Richter Boarding Home in Canby. He passed away on May 19, 1969, at 6:20 a.m., at the Wesley Hospital in Wadena, where he went to visit a sister. He had reached the age of 78 years. Adolph was preceded in death by his wife, Ida in March, 1959. Survivors include sister, Helena (Mrs. Edward Nohrenberg), brothers, Arthur and Gerhard.
