Adele D. Pipke (May 10, 1921~October 13, 2009) Adele Dorothea Pipke was born on May 10, 1921, at the home of her parents Edward C. and Elizabeth (Golnick) Pipke in Omro Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. She was baptized at St. John's Lutheran Church of Omro on May 29, 1921, by Pastor R.H. Vallmers and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran on May 24, 1936, by Pastor A.W. Fuerstenau. Adele attended St. John's Parochial School and District #80. Adele was interested in gardening, raising chickens, rug weaving on her loom and crocheting. She kept records of the weather and cared for her brothers, Ruban, Karl and Paul. She taught Sunday School at St. John's, a position she was very proud of. She was a life long member of St. John's Lutheran Church. Adele passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2009, at the Clarkfield Care Center, Clarkfield, Minnesota, at the age of 88 years, 5 months and 3 days. She is survived by Elda Kopitzke, Marvin Piipke and friends Marlin and Jeanine Satre and family. She was preceded in death by her father in 1955; mother Elizabeth in 1960; brother Ruben in 1996; and brothers Paul and Karl in 2003. Blessed be her memory.
