Wes Torke, Jr. died Saturday, January 4, 2020 at CCM Health in Montevideo at the age of 37.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, January 9, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Rock Haven Church in Granite Falls, MN. Rev. John McCosh will officiate and interment will be at West Yellow Medicine Lutheran Cemetery, rural Hanley Falls, MN.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 12 noon until the time of the funeral at the church.
Wesley Duane Torke, Jr. was born in Marshall, MN on December 13, 1982 to Wesley and Ava (Minsaas) Torke. He was baptized at English Lutheran church in Cottonwood. The family lived in Cottonwood and then moved to Milan. In the early 1990's they moved to Appleton where Wesley attended school. Wesley worked at Jennie-O, Friendship Homes, and Peters Construction in Montevideo. He also worked as a salesman for Hydro-Swing in Cottonwood and as a car salesman in Marshall.
Wesley enjoyed Daddy daughter days, fishing, traveling on his motorcycle and remodeling houses. He also enjoyed collecting and selling antiques.
Wesley is survived by daughter, Josie Ruether of Appleton, MN; father, Wes (Ann) Torke of Lucan, MN; mother, Ava Minsaas of Maynard, MN; siblings: Nathan (Viki) Torke of Appleton, MN Stephanie (Raymond) Cox of Redwood Falls, MN, John (Shelley) Minsaas of Kandiyohi, MN, Sheila Wendlandt of Hutchinson, MN, Kimberly (Justin Peters) Torke of Appleton, MN, Travis Torke of Belview, MN, Cynthia Torke of Lucan, MN, and Kiley Torke of Lucan, MN; and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; sister, Lisa Torke; and brother, Wade Torke.
