Mary Mathilda Adeline Drusch was born in Germany February 3, 1876, the daughter of William and Albertina Drusch. When she was seven years old the parents, together with two brothers and two sisters of deceased came to Sleepy Eye, Minnesota. Here Mary attended public school and the Christian Day School, and on April 14, 1890, she was confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church by Pastor Beuber.
On March 10, 1897, she was united in marriage to Mr. Frank Ziemann. Their union was blessed with six children of which two died in infancy.
Four years ago her husband preceded her in death. Mrs. Ziemann lived all of her wedded life on the farm five miles west and two miles south of Clarkfield, having made her home in Tyro Township for 53 years.
She is survived by her one son, Edward; three daughters: Martha and Oileen at home, and Ertha (Mrs. Soren Stokke) of Belview, Minnesota; three grandchildren: Marlene, Dennis and Kenneth, and two sisters: Mrs. A.F. Axness of Montevideo, Minnesota, and Mrs. Frank Seamans of Amiret, Minnesota; besides many other relatives and a host of friends.
